We checked into Cabin 10 @ Lake Bistineau State Park 5/23/2010 at 9 PM. The park guard was very friendly. He warned us that the lake was dry. Still it was a shock to wake up the next morning, walk out on the back porch and see green grass growing under the fishing pier. You could see under the cypress tree roots and the grass growing as far as you could see. Still it was very beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. I loved listening to the song birds and the whoot owls. I took some pictures. Click on http://www.smokeschool.net then schedule, then Lake Bistineau to see them. We are here to conduct smoke school environmental training.
